Hispanic outreach expert to serve on task force’s advisory committee
WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 4, 2015 – Law firm Becker & Poliakoff announced today that Omar Franco, managing director of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office and a federal government lobbyist in the firm’s Government Law & Lobbying Practice, has accepted his nomination by Senator Orrin Hatch to serve on the advisory committee of the United States Senate Republican Task Force on Hispanic Affairs.
The function of the task force is to evaluate some of the most critical issues affecting the Hispanic community and share insights on those issues with other lawmakers. In his role on the Task Force’s advisory committee, Franco will identify issues affecting the Hispanic community, present the issues to the Task Force with verifying and qualifying documentation, and advise the Task Force on how policies and legislation regarding the issues may affect the Hispanic community.

Active in Hispanic political organizations, Franco serves as president of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association. He has received many awards and accolades throughout his career, including being named as one of the country’s most powerful Hispanic lobbyists by Latino magazine.
