FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, August 6, 2012 – Becker & Poliakoff today announced that the Florida Bar has awarded certification in the area of Business Litigation Law to three additional firm attorneys.

Becker & Poliakoff today announced that the Florida Bar has awarded certification in the area of Business Litigation Law to three additional firm attorneys.Firm attorneys who are the latest to be recognized for their special knowledge, skills and proficiency in Business Litigation Law in the state of Florida are:

Kevin Markow/Ft. Lauderdale – Mr. Markow is a shareholder whose practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation. Mr. Markow has extensive experience litigating in State and Federal Courts throughout Florida and other jurisdictions and routinely handles cases in the areas of corporate and shareholder disputes, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, real estate, land use, government litigation, securities, fraud, and casualty/insurance claims.

Gary Schaaf/Clearwater – The shareholder in charge of the litigation team in the firm’s Tampa Bay Regional Office, Mr. Schaaf concentrates his practice on litigating complex business and real property disputes. He has extensive experience in contract litigation, banking litigation, probate and trust litigation, condominium and homeowner association litigation, mortgage foreclosure litigation, injunction actions, and representation of creditors in bankruptcy.

Leslie Sheekley/Ft. Walton Beach – Ms. Sheekley is the only Board Certified Business Litigation attorney in the Ft. Walton-Okaloosa area. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial and business torts, contract negotiation and litigation, and representation of community associations in collections, operations, covenant enforcement actions and litigation. She has extensive trial experience in many areas of the law, including insurance defense, contract and business litigation, and injunction actions.
