Carissa Faña is a Government Relations Consultant in Becker’s Federal lobbying practice. She provides expertise in the areas of legislative affairs, coalition building, diversity, and third-party outreach as a strategic advisor who manages a diverse portfolio of clients.
Prior to joining Becker, Carissa managed Intuit’s external relations with many Latino national groups and other multicultural third-party organizations in addition to legislative matters.
Ms. Faña served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and was a former Associate at the Dewey Square Group where she managed client accounts in the Latino market practice.
Prior to her work at Dewey Square, she served as Professional Staff for the House Small Business Committee and as a Legislative Assistant to the current Chairwoman of the House Small Business Committee, Congresswoman Nydia M. Velázquez (D-NY).
Carissa is a member of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association (HLA) and Chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. She is also a member of PROSPANICA, a leading organization for Hispanic professional achievement.
