Jon Polenberg, shareholder in our Business Litigation group, is co-chair of a new Florida Bar Business Law Section task force. Named “The Business Law Task Force” and co-chaired with retired 11th Circuit Judge Gill Freeman, the task force is taking a hard look at Florida business courts to see if the time is right for a statewide business court model. Jon, a member of the Business Law Section’s Executive Council, told The Florida Bar News in its October 1 edition: “Our expectation is we’re going to start from scratch. We’re going to, within the confines of the Florida Constitution, develop a business court system, if it makes sense.”
