Bio
Justin J. Gendler is an attorney in Becker’s Business Litigation Practice in the Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Gendler is a former Assistant Public Defender at the Miami Dade County Public Defender’s Office and has led criminal jury trials, argued substantive legal motions, and efficiently managed hundreds of criminal cases.
In addition to his criminal defense work, Mr. Gendler is also an Adjunct Professor of Business Law and Ethics at Florida Atlantic University, where he instructs undergraduate courses covering complex areas of law including contracts, torts, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and constitutional law.
He also has experience in the political arena and served as an Executive Aide to Florida Rep. Michael Gottlieb and Rep. Katie Edwards-Walpole during multiple legislative sessions. Mr. Gendler assisted in the drafting of new legislation and worked alongside legislators and lobbyists to secure its passage.
