In a legal dispute concerning various transactions involving the sale of real property located in Rockland County, one of the parties commenced an action in New York County seeking money damages in excess of 1 Million Dollars. After the New York Supreme Court action was dismissed, the defendants thought that their ordeal was over, but the plaintiff commenced a new action, based upon nearly identical facts, against those same defendants in Rockland County Supreme Court and obtained a default judgment against those defendants in the amount of $1,229,665.
After successfully vacating the monetary judgment in the amount of $1,229,665.94 against the individual defendants, the Becker team, led by Glenn Spiegel, obtained an Order dismissing the Complaint and the underlying action based upon various grounds including the doctrine of res judicata.
