Senator Ellyn S. Bogdanoff, local and state government attorney and lobbyist at Becker and former Member of the Florida House of Representatives and Florida State Senate, will moderate a panel on resiliency planning and policy at the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association’s (APA) annual conference. The conference will be held September 10-13 at Sandestin Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida.
The panel, titled “After Irma: Advancing Strategies for Long-Term Resilience in Florida,” will take place on Thursday, September 12 from 4:15-5:30 p.m. The discussion will focus on the importance of resiliency planning in Florida, current policy frameworks, and ways to further bolster existing strategies. Panelists include: Alec Bogdanoff, Ph.D., Florida Resilience Manager, American Flood Coalition; Whitney Gray, Administrator, Florida Resilient Coastlines, Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection; and Kimberly Miller, AICP, Senior Resilience Planner, Halff Associates.
