Overview

Alexandria D. Martinez is an attorney in Becker’s Business Litigation and Condo, Co-Op & HOA practice groups. Alexandria has experience representing clients in a large variety of complex civil matters, including contract disputes, employment disputes, construction litigation, landlord-tenant matters and FINRA arbitration. Alexandria also frequently represents condominium and homeowner associations in litigations, with a focus on guiding Association Manager and Board Members navigating unit owner complaints.

Alexandria earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Newark, where she served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, the first legal periodical on the field of women’s rights and gender law in the U.S. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Communications from Emerson College.

Alexandria is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and multiple federal courts, including the District Court of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Outside of her legal practice, she is an avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoys live music and events.

  • Successfully argued a motion to dismiss for failure to produce discovery in an action defending school’s contractor against claims of breach of contract and negligent supervision.
  • Represented relators who alleged pharmaceutical company defrauded Medicare and Medicaid by training its sales representatives to engage in unethical behavior to boost sales of flagship drug.
  • Counsel for technology sales representative in AAA arbitration regarding a dispute with former employer over wrongful termination after being denied commission on one of the computer software company’s largest deal.
  • Counsel for former medical sales device representative prosecuting medical technology company and hospital for sexual harassment and negligent retention.
  • Counsel for former employees alleging material handling equipment supplier improperly amended stock option incentive plan causing their equity in the company to become worthless.
  • Counsel to bank in Department of Justice’s investigation of the bank’s lending practices.
  • Successfully obtained dismissal of charges against pro bono client for violating final restraining order.
  • Represent healthcare device company alleged to have wrongfully terminated employee based on an injury sustained while in the course of employment.
