Overview
Clinton is a shareholder in Becker’s Tampa office and focuses his practice on representing condominium and homeowners associations throughout Florida. He advises boards and property managers on all aspects of community association operations, including corporate governance, covenant enforcement, assessment collection, developer turnover, and contract negotiation and disputes. Clinton also has extensive experience litigating construction defect claims and other complex matters impacting associations.
His practical knowledge and hands-on approach allow him to guide clients through day-to-day legal concerns while also positioning them to avoid future issues before they arise. His deep familiarity with the challenges faced by community associations enables him to offer strategic counsel tailored to each client’s needs.
In addition to representing associations, Clinton also leverages his experience to represent individual homeowners in disputes with their communities and advises other clients in contractual and property-related matters. The broad range of issues facing community associations and unit owners he represents also provides him the experience necessary to effectively counsel non-community association clients in contractual, real property, and other types of disputes.
Clinton earned his J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law.
Outside of the office, Clinton enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, exploring all that Tampa Bay has to offer — from beachside breakfasts to browsing Ybor City’s cigar shops. He’s an avid Florida State football fan, a self-taught BBQ enthusiast, and has also been known to moonlight as a karaoke DJ in his downtime.
