Overview
Josiah H. Elsaghir is an attorney in Becker’s Condo, Co-Op & HOA Practice Group in Tampa, where he counsels condominium, homeowners’, and cooperative associations on a broad range of legal and operational matters. He advises association boards and property managers on corporate governance, compliance with governing documents and applicable laws, contract review and negotiation, and day-to-day issues impacting community associations.
Drawing on his background in corporate law, Josiah assists clients with entity formation, governance matters, organizational restructuring, and the preparation of corporate documents, including governing instruments, bylaws, resolutions, and agreements. He also provides strategic guidance on contracts and transactions, helping clients navigate complex legal issues while remaining focused on practical, business-oriented solutions.
During his time at UF Law, Josiah served as Research Editor of the Florida Law Review. He also participated in the law school’s Mediation Clinic, successfully guiding multiple disputes to resolution, earning the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and obtaining county mediator certification from the Florida Supreme Court. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Pro Bono Outstanding Achievement Award.
Josiah also has experience in government and public service, having served as a legislative aide in the Connecticut General Assembly and as an elected member of his hometown school board.
