Malia-Lyn T. Fushikoshi is an attorney in Becker’s Construction Practice Group based in the firm’s Orlando office. She represents condominium and homeowner associations in construction defect disputes and advises clients through all phases of construction litigation. Her practice focuses on helping clients protect their interests before, during, and after major repair and restoration projects.
Malia-Lyn represents clients in mediations, alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and litigation involving construction disputes. She works closely with boards of directors, property managers, consultants, and experts to develop practical strategies for resolving complex construction matters while advancing her clients’ litigation objectives. Her litigation experience spans all phases of construction litigation, including factual investigation, legal research, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, written discovery, depositions, mediations, and coordination with experts and opposing counsel.
Prior to joining Becker, Malia-Lyn represented contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in a broad range of construction disputes involving schedule delays, acceleration claims, extra work, differing site conditions, design defects, and contract drafting and negotiation. Her experience representing multiple participants in the construction industry provides valuable insight into the legal and practical considerations that shape complex construction disputes.
