In celebration of Women’s History Month, Becker showcases the inspiration, philosophies, and expertise of the women attorneys and lobbyists who help elevate our firm and client service.
Tana Bucca represents community/condominium/homeowner associations and cooperatives throughout New Jersey. Her experience includes general corporate matters, transition negotiations, construction defect disputes, and creditors’ rights arising from defaulted commercial loans and failure to pay association dues. While she has significant commercial litigation experience in state and federal courts, Tana is no stranger to alternative dispute resolution strategies.
What woman inspires you and why?
My mother. She has worked tirelessly throughout her life to ensure that my family was supported financially, to make sure that my brother and I had the best education, family time and loving parents.
If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?
My husband, because we laugh and have fun. (And we hardly ever get a chance to have dinner alone!)
What advice (professional or personal) would you give your younger self?
Don’t worry; no matter what happens, you can deal with it.
What led you to the practice of law and/or to your specific area of law?
The truth is, I went to law school because my father would have been devastated if I hadn’t become a lawyer. I just so happened to get a job working for a mentor who practiced condo law and here I am! I am grateful for my father’s encouragement and truly appreciate this area of law.
What has living through a global pandemic taught you?
I have never realized how much I liked to be out of the house!
