Steven B. Lesser, shareholder and chair of our Construction Law and Litigation group, also chairs the American Bar Association’s Annual Meeting Program Committee for CLE Showcase Programming. With the 2017 ABA Annual Meeting coming up in New York City from August 10-15, Steve wants everyone to know about two novel parts of the Annual Meeting and several Continuing Legal Education programs on the menu.
The first aspect is the “CLE Showcase Programs.” The second is the newly formulated “CLE in the City” Series. The CLE Showcase Programs have nine cutting-edge discussions ranging from recent developments associated with the U.S. Supreme Court to Sex and Violence on College Campuses, Cyber Risk Management, Implicit Bias, Veterans Courts and Defamation in the Trump Administration. Through Steve’s initiatives, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a guided running/walking tour through Central Park on Saturday morning. Please refer to the CLE Showcase Program Annual website for the most up-to-date information.
CLE in the City is new this year. These programs are available even if you haven’t registered for the annual meeting and will be hosted by law firms in midtown on Thursday, Aug. 10, and Friday, Aug. 11. Steve’s group has organized the “Construction Track,” which includes several construction programs including a behind-the-scenes view of the expansive Lincoln Center rehabilitation project and an “Introduction to Construction Law” segment that Steve will moderate on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 10:00am – 11:30am.
