Women’s History Month–Meet the Women of Becker: Cindy Grossman

03.27.2025

In honor of Women’s History Month, Becker is celebrating the incredible women whose expertise, leadership, and dedication elevate both our firm and the clients we serve. This year, we’re proud to highlight the achievements of longstanding women team members across various departments, recognizing their impact and contributions over the years.

Cindy Grossman has been Becker’s Law Librarian for 34 years. As the Law Librarian, Cindy services the needs of the attorneys through online legal research, books, and other materials. She also works with the Florida Bar to ensure Becker’s in-house seminars are approved for attorney credits.

What inspired you to pursue a career at Becker?
I interviewed with Gary Poliakoff and Alan Becker. They had different personalities, but both men were intelligent, engaging, passionate about the firm, and kind. That sold me.

Is there a past or present woman who has inspired you in your career or life?
My classical ballet teacher at the American Ballet Theater was Patricia Wilde.

If you could have lunch with any woman in history, who would it be and why?
Rosa Parks: it was her strength and determination in the fight for racial equality and freedom.

What’s a mantra or quote that motivates you daily?
To be Positive, Happy, and Kind.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
My mom: Believe in yourself and your passion, and never give up. Plus, learn how to push yourself past your limit.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I was a professional Ballet and Modern dancer with American Ballet Theatre and Alvin Ailey. I still coach and teach.
