This week the annual B&P Diversity Fellowship Award was presented to Lex-Jordan Ibegbu at University of Miami School of Law. Rosa de la Camara, Michael Gongora, and David Rogel joined Dean White of the law school to present the award to Lex (see picture below). Another Fellowship will be awarded to Melissa Rodriguez at University of Florida in April, which will be presented by Joe Adams, Michael Boutzoukas, Phyllis Calloway, Steve Davis, and Kristi Scott. Recipients of this award receive a $5,000 tuition scholarship and a paid summer internship at one of Becker & Poliakoff’s Florida offices. The annual competition for second-year law school students requires outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated leadership ability, commitment to public service and meaningful contributions to the community’s diversity. We are very proud to welcome both Lex and Melissa to our Firm this summer and to congratulate them on their accomplishments.
