FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, June 14 – Becker & Poliakoff, a diversified commercial law firm with 125 attorneys in 13 Florida offices, New York City, New Jersey, Nassau (Bahamas) and Prague, today announced that the Florida Bar has awarded Board Certification in the area of Appellate Practice to attorney Daniel L. Wallach, recognizing his special knowledge, skills and proficiency in this area of law as well as his professionalism and ethics.

Board certification is the Florida Bar’s highest level of recognition of an attorney’s competency and experience in one or more of the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Only attorneys who have earned the Florida Bar’s “board-certification” distinction are allowed to describe themselves as legal specialists or experts in a specific field of practice.

A 17 year practitioner, Mr. Wallach has significant appellate law experience, and has practiced before a number of appellate tribunals, including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida district courts of appeal. Mr. Wallach has handled appeals involving a broad range of subject matters, including civil rights, constitutional law, land use and zoning, municipal law, business law, employment law, and tort law. Mr. Wallach also serves as the Vice-Chair of the prestigious Appellate Advocacy General Committee of the ABA’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section.

Mr. Wallach is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law (J.D.) where he was ranked in the top 2% of his graduating class and served as an Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.
