Becker & Poliakoff Welcomes Howard J. Perl To Community Association Law Practice Group March 17, 2014

FT. LAUDERDALE, March 17, 2014 – Becker & Poliakoff today announced that attorney Howard J. Perl has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Ft. Lauderdale office. Mr. Perl practices in the firm’s Community Association Law practice group.

Mr. Perl has been involved in all aspects of community association law, including transactional, collections, mediation, arbitration, construction defects, and litigation. He was named by Super Lawyers as one of the 2013 Florida Rising Stars, and he holds the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell, AV Preeminent.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Perl was a Community Association Manager with The Continental Group (now FirstService Residential). He is the recipient of the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation from the Community Associations Institute (CAI).

Mr. Perl is certified by the State of Florida as a facilitator for continuing education credit courses for Community Association Managers. He has prepared and conducted informational seminars for continuing education credits for community association managers.

Mr. Perl serves on the Board of the CAI South Florida chapter and is a past-president of the Chapter.

Mr. Perl retired as a Major in the Army Reserves after 33 years of service, and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from July 2005 to July 2006.

Previously, Mr. Perl was an associate/shareholder at Katzman Garfinkel & Berger. He received his J.D. Degree, Magna Cum Laude, and B.A. Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
