Becker & Poliakoff’s Jay Roberts Named To Florida Trend’s 2015 Legal Elite “Up And Comers”

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Aug. 31, 2015 – Law firm Becker & Poliakoff today announced that Jay Roberts, an attorney in the Community Association Law Practice Group at the firm’s Fort Walton Beach, Fla., office, has been named as one of Florida Trend’s 2015 Legal Elite “Up and Comers.”

The magazine’s Legal Elite, which recognizes attorneys in several categories, represent fewer than 2% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida. Attorneys named to the list are identified on the basis of votes from their peers. Every in-state member of the Florida Bar is invited to name attorneys whom they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others, “up and coming” attorneys, and outstanding attorneys working in the government and non-profit sectors.

At Becker & Poliakoff, Roberts focuses his practice on community association law. He also has significant experience in lender liability law and commercial landlord/tenant relations.

Deeply involved in the community, Roberts was a founding member of the Pryor Middle School “Trendsetters” mentoring group. He also is a member of the Horizons ARC Foundation Advisory Board, the Community Association Institute, and the Fort Walton Beach and Destin chambers of commerce.

Roberts received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law.
