Becker & Poliakoff’s Michael E. Boutzoukas Elected President of Bay Area Real Estate Council

TAMPA, Fla. – January 8, 2016 – Michael E. Boutzoukas, a shareholder at the Tampa, Fla., office of law firm Becker & Poliakoff, has been selected as president of the Bay Area Real Estate Council by its board of directors as of January 1.

BAREC is comprised of real estate attorneys and aims to create networking opportunities and generate referrals among attorneys and real estate professionals. Additionally, the organization provides educational opportunities for attorneys, realtors and other professionals in the real estate industry.

Board-certified by The Florida Bar in Real Estate Law, Boutzoukas focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate and business transactions, leasing and financing in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.

“As a member of BAREC for the past several years, I look forward to taking my service to the organization and to the community to the next level and working closely with my colleagues on the board to foster deeper relationships between attorneys and real estate professionals,” Boutzoukas said.

Boutzoukas is deeply involved in the community. Most recently, he was appointed by the Clearwater City Council to the Council’s Community Development Board, where he conducts design review, evaluates historic applications, and reviews requests for land use plan changes and rezonings. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades for his legal and community work.
