October 23, 2025 – Washington, D.C.— Becker is pleased to announce that Anthony Bedell has been recognized as a Top 2025 Lobbyist by the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE). This prestigious honor is awarded to industry professionals who have achieved notable legislative successes, demonstrated innovation, earned the respect of their clients or peers and have shown a commitment to community service through charitable or pro bono work.

Bedell serves as Becker’s Senior Corporate and Government Relations Director. He  advises his clients on using a bipartisan approach to strategically secure funding and achieve successful public policy initiatives with federal, state, and local governments. Some notable clients include the Virginia Port Authority, City of Virginia Beach, City of Alexandria, Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization, Transurban, National Association of Waterfront Employers, City of Jacksonville, JFK New Terminal One, Governors Highway Safety Association, America’s Small Business Development Centers and Hitachi.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire federal lobbying team,” said Bedell. “Our achievements are truly the result of a collective effort, and I’m proud to collaborate with such skilled and committed colleagues at Becker.”

When asked why the lobbying and government affairs profession is essential to the democratic process, Bedell explained:

“Lobbying plays a vital role in the democratic process by helping organizations achieve their legislative and regulatory objectives through constructive engagement with policymakers. Professionals like Becker, who represent bipartisan interests, provide valuable expertise and data-driven insights that enable lawmakers to make informed, balanced decisions. Through this collaborative exchange of information, public policy is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of the issues at stake.

Because government must weigh the needs of many sectors, lobbyists serve as conduits for a broad range of perspectives, ensuring that the decision-making process remains inclusive and well-rounded. In an increasingly complex policy landscape, lobbyists help legislators navigate intricate legal, economic, and technical matters. Their deep bench of subject-matter expertise enables policymakers to grasp the nuances of critical issues, resulting in more effective, well-crafted legislation.”

The NILE Top Lobbyist list features 100 distinguished lobbyists, PAC managers, and grassroots professionals nominated by colleagues, Congressional staff, or clients for their exceptional contributions. This merit-based selection process involves a blind review by a panel of judges, ensuring that each recognition reflects outstanding performance and commitment to excellence in the field.
