Becker & Poliakoff shareholder, Daniel Wallach, will be a featured speaker at the 2014 Summer Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS), to be held on June 6-8, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla, in San Diego, California. Mr. Wallach will be presenting an update on the federal sports wagering litigation to the Committee on Casinos, which will be meeting on June 6, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. During his presentation, Mr. Wallach will discuss the recent Third Circuit decision which upheld the federal ban on state-sponsored sports wagering. He will also assess the Supreme Court prospects of New Jersey’s challenge to the federal law. At the end of his presentation, Mr. Wallach will field questions from the attendees. The NCLGS is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues relating to gaming.
