Daniel Wallach will be presenting a report on the status of New Jersey’s efforts to legalize sports wagering at the 2014 Winter Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS), to be held on January 10-12, 2014 at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Mr. Wallach will be presenting an update on the sports wagering litigation to the Committee on Casinos, which will be meeting on January 10, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. During his presentation, Mr. Wallach will discuss the recent Third Circuit opinion which upheld the federal ban on state-sponsored sports wagering. He will also assess the Supreme Court prospects of New Jersey’s challenge to the federal law. At the end of his presentation, Mr. Wallach will field questions from the attendees.
The NCLGS is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues relating to gaming.
