Executive Order: Broward County Realtors

Becker & PoliakoffOn Monday, March 30, Broward County issued Executive Order 20-04 (effective Tuesday, March 31) to clarify the types of real estate sales and real property title services that are allowed to occur in-person as opposed to remotely or electronically.

Per Executive Order 20-04, in-person appraisals, inspections, surveys, or other in person required activities (as expressly required by written agreement) are permissible, solely to the extent that they are necessary or required in connection with a real estate purchase and sale agreement entered into on or prior to March 22, 2020 (the effective date of Emergency Order 20-01). While engaging in any in-person appraisals, inspections, surveys, or other in-person required activities, as permitted by the Executive Order 20-04, all CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and sanitation must be observed.
