Florida Bar Grants Board Certification in Construction Law to Attorney Ryan Carpenter

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, August 6, 2012 – Becker & Poliakoff today announced that attorney Ryan F. Carpenter has earned certification from the Florida Bar in the area of Construction Law.

Board certification is the Florida Bar’s highest level of recognition of an attorney’s competence and experience. Only attorneys who have earned the “board-certification” distinction are allowed to describe themselves as legal “specialists” or “experts” in a specific field of practice.

Mr. Carpenter is a member of the Construction Law & Litigation practice group in Becker & Poliakoff’s Ft. Lauderdale office. One of 17 attorneys at the firm who have been awarded the prestigious board certification in Construction Law, Mr. Carpenter is experienced in many facets of construction litigation including lien and surety bond law. He also has significant experience representing general contractors and subcontractors in complex contract drafting matters and pursuing construction delay claims.

Mr. Carpenter attended Florida State University where he received his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 2006, while concurrently earning an MBA. He also holds a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

During law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Florida State University Law Review for two consecutive academic years.
