Charlyn Stanberry

Overview

Charlyn Stanberry is a Senior Government Relations Consultant in Becker’s Washington, D.C. office, where she advises clients on federal legislative, regulatory and policy matters.

Charlyn brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of government, public policy and advocacy. Prior to joining Becker, she served as Vice President of Government Relations for the National Association of Broadcasters, where she represented more than 8,300 broadcast entities before Congress and the executive branch and helped shape federal media and communications policy. Earlier in her career, she served as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to U.S. Representative Yvette Clarke (NY-09), giving her firsthand experience developing and advancing legislation, managing congressional priorities and navigating the legislative process.

Her experience spans government, nonprofit and corporate advocacy, providing Charlyn with a broad perspective on the policy, political and strategic considerations that shape successful government relations efforts. She works with clients to identify opportunities, build strategic relationships and advance their priorities in an increasingly complex federal landscape.

Charlyn is also deeply committed to leadership and service within the legal and professional communities. She serves as an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University, where she has taught federal advocacy and policy since 2022. She is President-Elect of the National Bar Association and previously served as President of the Junior League of Washington from 2024–2025. She has received numerous recognitions for her advocacy work, including being named to the top lobbyist lists for The Hill and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics.

Charlyn earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.
