Shannon Duncanson

Overview

Shannon Duncanson is an attorney and government relations consultant in Becker’s Federal Lobbying Practice, where she counsels clients on federal legislative, regulatory, and funding matters. Her practice is concentrated in health care policy, federal appropriations, and government affairs strategies for corporate clients, helping organizations identify opportunities, mitigate policy risks, and engage effectively with policymakers and federal agencies.

Drawing on her experience in health policy, including service in the Medicaid Policy Unit of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration, Shannon supports clients pursuing federal funding opportunities, appropriations requests, and policy initiatives impacting the health care industry. She works closely with clients to monitor legislative developments, build stakeholder relationships, and advance advocacy objectives before Congress and the Executive Branch.

Shannon previously served as a legal intern for the International Bar Association in London and as an intern with the Tallahassee-based think tank, the James Madison Institute, where she contributed to research and policy analysis on issues affecting Florida and beyond.

Shannon earned her law degree from Florida State University in 2022 and has been admitted to The Florida Bar. She currently serves as a Trustee of the Florida House on Capitol Hill and as a Board Member of the State Society of Florida
