Overview
Stefan Richter is a shareholder in Becker’s Doylestown, Pennsylvania office and a member of the firm’s Condo, Co-Op & HOA Practice Group. He focuses his practice on all aspects of community association law, including assessment collections, governing document interpretation and amendments, covenant enforcement, transition matters, and related litigation. He also has broad experience in civil litigation, including association, bankruptcy, construction, corporate, and insurance law. Admitted to practice before state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Richter is also a trained mediator.
Mr. Richter is an active leader within the community association industry. He is a past President of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania and Delaware Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and currently serves on its Legislative Action and Communications Committees. Through his work with the Legislative Action Committee, he advocates for legislation that supports and protects homeowners in common interest communities.
Mr. Richter is a member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), a prestigious organization established by CAI and limited to fewer than 150 attorneys nationwide who have distinguished themselves through their impact on the practice and evolution of community association law, as well as their commitment to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
A frequent speaker, Mr. Richter lectures homeowners, community association managers, legislators, and fellow attorneys on a wide range of association law topics, including governance and general legal principles. Above all, Stefan is committed to excellence and delivering timely, strategic, and solution-oriented counsel to condominium and homeowners associations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
