Overview
Tana Bucca is a Shareholder and member of Becker’s Condo, Co-Op & HOA group, where she represents condominium associations, homeowner associations, and cooperatives in all of their legal matters. She represents clients throughout New Jersey with general corporate matters, collections, governing document reviews, drafting and negotiating contracts, rule and regulation enforcement, transition negotiations, and construction defect litigation.
Ms. Bucca also has extensive experience with commercial litigation and creditors’ rights matters arising from defaulted commercial loans and failure to pay association dues. Specifically, she issues demand letters, files foreclosure complaints, obtains money judgments, initiates actions for replevin of collateral, and provides representation in workouts and bankruptcy matters. In this regard, Ms. Bucca has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts and also engages in alternative dispute resolution.
In addition, Ms. Bucca is a frequent panelist participating in seminars in community association law throughout New Jersey for management professionals. Ms. Bucca is frequently invited by management companies to speak to Managers and Board Members about the collection process and legal matters involving or impacting community associations.
Previously, Ms. Bucca was a commercial litigator for an AmLaw 100 law firm in Northern New Jersey. She also previously served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Maryann K. Bielamowicz, Superior Court, Mercer County, New Jersey.
Ms. Bucca is a leading authority in her field, recognized for her thought leadership and frequent contributions as a speaker and writer.
