Overview
Vanessa Kabu-Asante is an attorney in Becker’s Corporate & Securities Practice in the New York office. She advises public and private companies on a broad range of corporate and securities law matters, including capital markets transactions, securities compliance, corporate governance, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
Ms. Kabu-Asante represents domestic and international issuers in connection with public and private securities offerings, capital raises, and strategic transactions. Her experience includes initial public offerings, PIPE financings, SPAC and DeSPAC transactions, SEC reporting and disclosure matters, and compliance with federal securities laws. She also advises public companies on corporate governance and ongoing reporting obligations, as well as Nasdaq and OTC Markets requirements, Rule 144 matters, venture capital financings, and corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining Becker, Ms. Kabu-Asante practiced law at a major financial institution, where her work focused on private placements and securities regulatory matters, including Form D filings and disclosure and compliance issues involving private offerings and alternative investment products.
