ORLANDO, FL, April 3, 2012 – Becker & Poliakoff, a diversified commercial law firm with more than 145 attorneys and lobbyists in offices in Florida, New York City, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and internationally, today announced that attorney Scott Newsom has joined the firm in the Community Association Law practice group in the Maitland office.

Mr. Newsom has focused his practice exclusively on the representation of condominium, homeowner and other community associations in Central Florida since 2003. He has broad experience serving as general counsel to association clients on transactional matters including corporate, contracts, and real estate matters. He also has experience in issues related to community association representation such as collection and foreclosure, construction defects, and litigation.

Mr. Newsom is active in several community association groups including CAI (Community Associations Institute) – Mid Florida Chapter. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.
