Doreen Fiorelli directs all of Becker’s business development, marketing, and communication initiatives, as well as its business services throughout Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Washington, D.C. A veteran of the legal marketing industry, Doreen applies her extensive business acumen to the strategic outreach of the firm’s 130 attorneys and lobbyists – serving an intermediary role between the firm’s clientele and its legal practitioners – all while mentoring the professional staff in the department she leads. She believes that opportunities – both professional and personal – are endless for those who have a genuine love, appreciation, and enthusiasm for both their craft and those they serve.
What woman inspires you and why?
A family member who has been dealing with a serious health issue throughout her entire adult life yet carries herself with grace and dignity, is always kind to others, and is always willing to help those in need. She is a living, breathing inspiration.
If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Famous opera diva Maria Callas. She had beauty, grit, tenacity, and artistry and remains one of the greatest sopranos of all time. The Audrey Hepburn of the operatic stage. A legend.
What advice (professional or personal) would you give your younger self?
Do not take yourself too seriously and, while it sounds cliché, stop and smell the roses. Time flies!
What led you to the legal industry and/or to your specific area?
Legal marketing is predominantly analytical and demands creativity to both solve problems and create opportunity. No two days are the same and I am challenged daily. Keeps the blood flowing and my interest piqued.
What has living through a global pandemic taught you?
No matter what we encounter, as a firm or as individuals, we have the ability to adapt and thrive.
