Becker & PoliakoffYolanda Cash Jackson will head to Gainesville next week to deliver the commencement address for the next batch of JDs coming out of The University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law.

The Becker & Poliakoff shareholder is herself an alumna of UF Law and her ties to her alma mater run deep — she’s actively involved in the University of Florida Foundation, the Levin College of Law’s Law Center Association Board of Trustees

Like any commencement speaker worth her salt, Jackson’s experience has an ere of “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.”

Before she earned her reputation as one of the most effective lawyer-lobbyists in Tallahassee, Jackson’s nontraditional path took her through many areas of practice, including family law and litigation.

Sure to make the speech is her dedication to giving back to the community. The JD 90 alumna attributes community involvement as one the best ways one can help themselves, and she’s earned some accolades to back that up.

In addition to being named a top influencer by the Miami Herald and the “Most Effective Lawyer” in 2018 by the Daily Business Review, Jackson is the only nonelected, nongovernment triple inductee into The Children of Inmates’ “League of Superheroes.”
