Becker & Poliakoff Attorney Mark D. Friedman Promoted To Shareholder

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, April 11, 2013 – Becker & Poliakoff today announced that attorney Mark D. Friedman, an eight-year member of the firm’s Community Association Law Practice Group in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, has been promoted to Shareholder.

Mr. Friedman concentrates his practice on representation of community associations throughout Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. He has broad experience serving as general counsel to association clients on transactional matters including corporate issues, covenant enforcement and contract matters. Mr. Friedman also writes a monthly newspaper column about condominium law and conducts Board Certification Classes with a curriculum approved by the Division of Florida Condominiums, Time Shares and Mobile Homes. He has assisted more than two thousand board members with certification in the short time this has been a requirement for condominium board members.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Friedman had a successful career in international business which included five years as a teacher and seminar leader in Japan, followed by eight years as the International Sales Manager for a major South Florida sportswear manufacturer. Mr. Friedman also served as President of his own company, which handled communications projects for Japanese and American companies including corporate manuals, brochures and website development.

Mr. Friedman received his J.D. Degree, summa cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, where he served as Senior Editor of Law Review.
