Community Association Attorney
Attorney Donna DiMaggio Berger is passionate about representing condominium and homeowners associations throughout Florida by helping them to efficiently and effectively operate their communities. Berger, a shareholder at Becker, helps volunteer board members and their managers tackle tough challenges, including rising insurance rates, costly maintenance and repair projects, governing document updates and more. She is a board-certified specialist in condominium and planned development law and a Fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL).
“I enjoy being a problem solver. It’s great to sit with a board or a manager and come up with a solution to a problem that had been creating enormous stress for them,” she says. “Representing communities is an ‘up close and personal’ type of legal practice. Seeing familiar faces at board and membership meetings each year is a great way to connect on a different level with my clients.”
Having served on her own HOA board years ago, Berger handles the association attorney role with an understanding of the myriad emotions involved with many community disputes.
