Becker’s move to take the sting out of inflation for some of its more vulnerable employees was covered by Law360 Pulse today.
Becker will be providing bonuses to its staff members based on a percentage of their salary to help blunt the impact of inflation, the firm has announced.
“For the first time in decades, the nation is in an inflationary environment,” remarked Managing Shareholder and CEO Gary Rosen, “The burden of inflation falls most acutely on our less-compensated employees because a higher portion of their paychecks go to the staples of life like gas, food and housing and they feel the pinch more than perhaps other high-earning individuals would.”
The bonuses will be distributed along with adjustments in base pay that come from Becker’s annual midyear reviews, and will help offset the 8.6% rise in the consumer price index over the past year.
