Becker & Poliakoff Shareholders Inducted Into Florida Trend Legal Elite “Hall Of Fame”

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, July 24, 2013 – Becker & Poliakoff is proud to announce that three of its shareholders have been recognized with “Hall of Fame” induction as part of the 2013 Florida Trend Florida Legal Elite listing. The Florida Trend Legal Elite honors the top lawyers in the state as selected by their peers. 

As part of the 10th Anniversary of the prestigious peer-reviewed listing, Florida Trend inducted 28 attorneys from the state into the “Legal Elite Hall of Fame” who had the distinction of being chosen as Legal Elite every year for the past 10 years.

The Becker & Poliakoff “Hall of Fame” inductees and their respective categories are as follows:

Joseph E. Adams — Real Estate
Mr. Adams concentrates his practice on community association law, primarily representing condominium, cooperative and homeowners’ associations, as well as country clubs, mobile home communities and amenities associations such as marinas and golf courses. He has been very active in community association legislation and rulemaking and has drafted several pieces of legislation affecting community associations that have been adopted by the Florida Legislature.

Alan S. Becker — Government & Administrative
Mr. Becker is a founding shareholder of the Firm and previously served as the Firm’s Managing Shareholder. In that capacity, he directed the firm’s business development, recruitment and strategic planning. He continues to play in active role in the firm including working closely with the litigation, government law and lobbying, construction and international practice areas. Mr. Becker is a member of the Executive Committee of the Beacon Council, Miami Dade County’s economic development agency and a member of Enterprise Florida.

Steven B. Lesser — Construction
Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar, Mr. Lesser devotes his practice exclusively to construction law and litigation and has substantial experience representing owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and government entities in a variety of construction cases. He is Chair-elect of the prestigious ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, a national organization known for its scholarly publications and programs focusing on developments and trends in construction law.

The Florida Legal Elite nomination process is open to all current members of the Florida Bar. Active attorneys were asked to name the attorneys that they hold in highest regard as professionals – lawyers with whom they have personally worked and would recommend to others. The annual recognition is bestowed upon the top 2 percent of attorneys in the state.
