Becker & Poliakoff’s Rosa M. De La Camara Inducted Into Miami-Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame April 28, 2016

MIAMI – April 28, 2016 – Rosa M. de la Camara, a shareholder with the Community Association practice group with law firm Becker & Poliakoff and a member of the firm’s management committee, was recently inducted into the Miami-Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame, which recognizes outstanding former students of the college. De la Camara was selected for her contributions to the community and the practice of law. The annual induction ceremony raises funds for scholarships for the college’s students.

Previous notable inductees include actor Andy Garcia, music industry mogul Emilio Estefan, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, former Miami Dolphins receiver Nat Moore, Carnival Chairman and CEO Micky Arison, and U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

At Becker & Poliakoff, de la Camara has for 29 years focused her practice exclusively on representing community associations in the complex issues facing boards of directors, unit owners, managers and state and local policymakers. She has served in leadership positions with many local community organizations and has been appointed to several influential policy making positions, working closely with local and state political and business leaders on laws and regulations impacting association operations and management. De la Camara has authored many articles on subjects related to the practice of community association law in English and Spanish and has been a featured speaker on local Spanish and English radio and television shows and at public service seminars for community associations.
