FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – March 15, 2016 – Steven B. Lesser, a shareholder with law firm Becker & Poliakoff and chair of the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation Practice Group, was honored with The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Section’s Construction Law Committee’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” at a ceremony on Friday, March 11, at the ninth-annual Construction Law Institute in Orlando. Gary C. Rosen, managing shareholder of Becker & Poliakoff, presented Lesser with the award.
Lesser was recognized for his contributions as immediate past chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law, his work with The Florida Bar’s efforts to offer board certification to the state’s top construction lawyers, his prolific writing on subjects critical to construction practitioners, his high-profile practice of construction law, and his dedication to community initiatives such as TopSoccer. Only eight attorneys in Florida have been awarded the Committee’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
