Becker Real Estate Team Awarded Structures Award for Best Speculative Project

Becker is proud to announce that Hugo V. AlvarezMichael E. Boutzoukas, Cherrie F. Goudreau, and Scott A. Marcus were awarded South Florida Business Journal’s 2021 Structures Award for Best Speculative Project on the Alture Westland Development. The Becker team represented Centennial Bank in the negotiation of a $22+ million construction loan to convert Hialeah’s former Ramada Inn into the new Alture Westland, a 251-unit multi-family development.

Hugo said of the project, “It’s no secret that the cost of living in South Florida is outpacing our wage growth. Working with our client and friends at Centennial Bank to secure the necessary financing for the Estate Companies to help push this wonderful project forward will help address that issue.  This new development will provide a much-needed housing option for the median-earning household in Miami-Dade County, and we were proud to have played a small part in making our city more affordable to the very people who give it its unique culture!”
