Gary C. Rosen Named “Power Leader in Corporate Philanthropy” – South Florida Business Journal

For the second year in a row, Gary C. Rosen, Managing Shareholder and CEO, was recognized among South Florida Business Journal’s Power Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy. This year’s list reflects the dynamic needs and committed leaders across the South Florida market. By lending a hand to lift others up, most power leaders are serving needs critical to any thriving community. Because along with spending on education, infrastructure, culture and other amenities people find important, thriving communities must invest in their at-risk populations in hopes of becoming a world-class destination.

Gary notes that he entered philanthropy because a business that benefits from the economic life of the community must also contribute to its improvement. Gary has been involved with the United Way of Broward County since 2012 and also played an instrumental role in establishing The Alan S. Becker and Gary A. Poliakoff Preeminent Leaders in Law Speaker Series at the University of Miami and is involved with much of the firm’s other charitable work.

Gary joined Becker in 1982 as a litigator and later became chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice. He represents clients including county and city governments, developers, builders, corporations, condominium associations, financial institutions and physicians. Gary was appointed Managing Shareholder and Chief Executive Officer of Becker in 2012. In this role, he oversees the firm’s governance while playing a leading role in recruitment, marketing, and other business functions.
