Kathleen O. Berkey Appointed as Management Committee Chair of ULI Southwest Florida
June 24, 2026 – Ft. Myers, FL – Becker, a multi-practice commercial law firm with attorneys, lobbyists, and other professionals, is pleased to announce that shareholder Kathleen O. Berkey has been appointed to Chair of the Southwest Florida’s Urban Land Institute’s (ULI SWFL) District Council, effective July 1, 2026. Katie will serve as the top volunteer leader for ULI SWFL and will be responsible for its overall strategic direction and local impact for a two-year term.
Prior, Katie served as Chair of Mission Advancement for ULI SWFL acting as the strategic link between the local District Council and ULI’s global offices, where she aligned local initiatives with ULI’s overarching mission, oversaw strategic planning, and ensured best practices in leadership and management were implemented across Southwest Florida. District councils are the local chapters of ULI and the primary way that members engage with the organization.
Katie’s commitment to ULI spans more than 15 years. She has been a Management Committee Member since 2011 and was Co-Chair of both the Young Leaders Group and the Women’s Leadership Initiative for ULI SWFL.
