National Black Caucus of State Legislators Elects Yolanda Cash Jackson to Corporate Round Table Board

FT. LAUDERDALE, January 9, 2014 – The Becker & Poliakoff law firm proudly announces that the Corporate Round Table (CRT) of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) has elected Yolanda Cash Jackson to a two-year term on the Board beginning in 2014.

Ms. Jackson will be installed as a new officer of CRT during the first 2014 business meeting of the NBCSL, which was founded in 1977 by African American state legislators to secure parity in the state legislatures for their constituents. Today, the organization boasts a membership of over 600 African American elected officials.

In 1980, the CRT was established to aid NBCSL members in fostering productive partnerships with the private sector.

Ms. Jackson is an experienced attorney who concentrates her practice in the area of Governmental Relations and has developed a proficiency in state government funding and appropriations. A member of Becker & Poliakoff’s Management Committee since 2010, Ms. Jackson is widely recognized for her dedication and contributions to civic, charitable and professional organizations.

Her many honors include the Broward Black Elected Officials Community Service Award; the ICABA Award as one of the 100 Most Accomplished Blacks in Law in South Florida, and the Florida Memorial University “Community Leader of the Year” Award.

Ms. Jackson attended the University of Florida where she received her B.A. and J.D. Degrees. She serves on the School’s Alumni Outreach Committee.
