Steven Mezer Joins Becker & Poliakoff as Shareholder in Tampa Office

TAMPA, Fla. (July 1, 2015) – Law firm Becker & Poliakoff today announced that Steven Mezer has joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Community Association Law Practice Group at its Tampa, Fla., office. Prior to joining the firm, Mezer was a Shareholder at Bush Ross.

Mezer has focused his practice during the past three decades on representing community associations and their boards of directors and will continue to serve as counsel to community association clients in the Tampa Bay area.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of community association operations and community association law, as well as in litigation in the areas of real property, lending, and commercial and residential collections, and is also experienced in alternative dispute resolutions. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Real Estate Law and is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

Mezer is a member of the Executive Committee and the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. He is Chair of the American Bar Association’s Common Interest Housing Committee, and Secretary of the Common Interest Housing Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He received a law degree from Stetson University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Miami.
