Two Becker Attorneys Recognized by the American College of Construction Lawyers

Becker is pleased to announce that construction attorney Claramargaret Groover has been inducted into the 2022 class of the American College of Construction Lawyers (ACCL). Steven B. Lesser, chair of Becker’s nationally recognized construction practice, was appointed to ACCL’s Board of Governors, where he will serve a three-year term.

The ACCL is a preeminent national organization of attorneys who have mastered the practice or the teaching of construction law and dispute resolution, whose professional careers have shown the highest standards of conduct, and who have shown a commitment to giving back to the construction industry. The ACCL serves as a collegial forum for the exchange and development of ideas by some of the most knowledgeable attorneys in construction law.

Groover is Florida Bar Board certified in construction law and of counsel to the firm. She devotes her practice to complex project development, negotiating and documenting performance requirements on condominium, mixed-use, and lease-back transactions as well as public-private partnership projects, and coordinating the client’s construction and financing requirements.

Lesser is also a Fellow at the American College of Construction Lawyers and is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. He is Past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law and chairs Becker’s national Construction Law and Litigation practice group.
