Becker is proud to share that Shareholder Yolanda Cash Jackson has been named one of the 50 most accomplished leaders in government, business, and media by the News Service Florida. This honor recognizes Floridians over the age of 50 who continue to shape the state through their remarkable achievements, leadership, and commitment to public service.

A trailblazer in every sense, Ms. Jackson has served on Becker’s Management Committee since 2010, helping to guide firm policy, operations, and strategic growth. As a highly respected Government Law attorney and lobbyist, she is known not only for her legal and legislative expertise, but also for her deep-rooted commitment to civic, charitable, and professional organizations throughout the state. Her practice focuses on Governmental Relations, with particular strength in navigating state government funding and appropriations. Over the years, she has cultivated meaningful relationships with many of Florida’s most influential elected officials and policymakers.

In its profile, News Service Florida noted:

“Yolanda Cash Jackson does things by twos. She is a proud ‘double Gator,’ having earned both her bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida, where she was a member of the prestigious Florida Blue Key honor society. Jackson is also both a lawyer and a lobbyist at the State Capitol, where she is on a first-name basis with legislative leaders and has played a critical role in major state policy.

A Miami native, Ms. Jackson credits U.S. Rep. Carrie Meek—Florida’s first African American member of Congress since Reconstruction—as her political inspiration. Ms. Jackson has gone on to make history in her own right, becoming the first African American equity shareholder at Becker and earning the distinction of Florida Trend’s “Floridian of the Year” in 2022.”
