On June 11-12, Becker hosted 16 candidates for the Florida House and Senate and four candidates for statewide office in our Ft. Lauderdale office. The candidates were participating in the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyist’s (FAPL) Candidate Interviews program.
FAPL hosts Candidate Interviews every two years during midterm elections for open cabinet, House, and Senate races. The interviews provide an opportunity for candidates to share their positions and ideas with FAPL members.
The two-day event gave Becker’s state and local legislative lobbying team the chance to meet the candidates and have in-depth discussions around their policy and funding priorities. In addition to the interviews in Ft. Lauderdale, corresponding sessions took place with other candidates in Tallahassee, Tampa, Miami and Orlando.
FAPL, founded in 2002, is committed to establishing and maintaining high standards for professional advocates. Its mission focuses on education and the ethical conduct, which fosters a lobby corps that is both knowledgeable and professional.
