Becker’s Government Relations team will be led by federal lobbyists Omar Franco and Bert Gómez.

Mr. Franco remarked, “This is the second new client headquartered in Minnesota that our federal team represents beginning in 2021. We are excited to provide our diverse, bipartisan perspective to 3M, and promote their long-standing commitment to sustainability and to improving lives and building sustainable communities through social investments and thoughtful engagement of employees. We are proud to partner with an organization that also believes it is important to have diverse representation and advocacy at the highest levels.”

Government Law and Lobbying has been a core practice for Becker since its founding in 1973. The firm’s team of lawyers and lobbyists includes several who have served in high-level government positions and distinguished themselves in the political and legislative arenas in state, local, and federal government.

Becker’s federal practice began in 2011 with the addition of two Capitol Hill Chiefs of Staff and the Legislative Director of a US Senator. The bipartisan powerhouse team quickly grew the practice to ten lobbyists and a portfolio of public and private clients throughout the United states including Intuit, Univision, ViacomCBS, FOX, the Motion Picture Association, NAHREP, the Latino Coalition, Virginia Port Authority, the University of Miami, Hennepin County, MN, and Palm Beach County, FL, among others.
