Overview
Cody Rogers is a Government Relations Specialist in Becker’s State Legislative Lobbying, Local Government, and Local Government Lobbying & Procurement practice groups. He provides expertise in legislative affairs, coalition building, diversity, and third-party outreach, serving as a strategic advisor managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
Prior to joining Becker, Cody honed his legislative acumen through extensive experience in the Florida House of Representatives. Over the course of eight years, he worked alongside state representatives, contributing to impactful legislation and community initiatives. He played a key role in preparing, filing, and tracking legislation as well as appropriations projects totaling over 16 million dollars. His efforts also included working closely with Representative Kristin Jacobs and stakeholders to pass the landmark Marjory Stoneman Douglas Safety Act and Natural Hazards legislation.
Beyond his work in the Florida House, Cody served as Policy & Campaigns Manager at The CLEO Institute, where he successfully lobbied to increase public awareness of climate-related challenges and federal infrastructure legislation. His advocacy extended to planning large-scale community events, managing multi-stakeholder coalitions, and coordinating public campaigns to protect renewable energy initiatives.
A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Social Science, Cody also holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. He complements his academic foundation with certifications in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, underscoring his commitment to public service and community impact
