Firm Expands with New Shareholders and Senior Level Director of Government Relations

May 7, 2019 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL — Becker, a multi-practice commercial law firm with attorneys, lobbyists and other professionals at offices throughout the East Coast, has hired five new Shareholders, a Senior Director of Government Relations, and three Associates located in several offices and across several practice groups due to overwhelming client demand.

New hires include:

Randy Dow, Construction Law & Litigation, West Palm Beach
With over 20 years of civil litigation experience, Randy represents  some of the nation’s largest corporations in the construction and construction equipment  industries. Randy has substantial experience serving as lead counsel in complex and lengthy jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations.

Mike Grissom, Sr. Government Relations Director, State Legislative Lobbying, Tallahassee
With over 17 years of experience in the political arena across 13 states, Mike has formed longstanding relationships with key decision-makers and business leaders in Florida and beyond. He was previously the Executive Vice President of Enterprise Florida, Inc., a public-private partnership charged with job creation, where he led legislative and external affairs efforts. In Tallahassee, Mike is one of a few experts on economic development issues including those related to aerospace and aviation, advanced manufacturing, information technology, financial services, foreign direct investment and corporate relocation.

Paul Shur, Corporate (Financial Services), New York; Red Bank, NJ; Naples, FL
Paul focuses his practice in all aspects of commercial and financial transactions and related litigation enforcing and defending creditors’ rights. He is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys and serves as Education Chair to the New Jersey and New York Chapters of the Commercial Finance Association. He has been ranked in Chambers USA, Corporate/M&A in New Jersey since 2009.

Sean Sullivan, Construction Law & Litigation, Ft. Lauderdale
Florida Bar Board Certified in Construction Law, Sean represents developers, contractors, and subcontractors in resolving disputes through civil litigation, mediation, and arbitration. He concentrates his practice on construction and commercial matters involving construction liens, building codes, and related issues; contractual and business disputes; insurance related matters; and AIA contract drafting.

Terri Thomas, Real Estate, Tampa
Terri previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and general counsel for real estate brokerage franchise, title company, property management and start up mortgage franchise Metro Consulting Services, LLC. She represents local and national businesses, banks, and individuals in all aspects of commercial lending and purchase and sale transactions.

New associates are Anna Cherubin, Community Association, Stuart and Rachel Farkas, Corporate, Ft. Lauderdale.
