Overview

Ellyn Setnor Bogdanoff is a shareholder in Becker’s Government Law & Lobbying Practice. She joined the firm after serving over 9 years as a Member of the Florida Legislature in both the House and Senate. Having left public office in 2012, her knowledge of the political process at the state and local level enables her to assist her clients in navigating the complexities of government.

Ellyn advocates on behalf of clients at both the state and local levels. She serves as Chair of Becker’s Sea Level Advisory Team, which provides clients with a comprehensive range of services to address flooding and other impacts of sea level rise. Ellyn has also developed an expertise in the P3 process as lead attorney and lobbyist for the world’s first pickleball stadium facility in Fort Lauderdale. She has also focused her local practice on land use and procurement.

Ellyn has over 30 years in the business sector, owning her first insurance business by the age of 21 and, after 16 years, selling her interest in her company. In 1997, she opened a corporate and local government consulting firm, which focused on campaign and non-profit management and later attended law school, graduating in 2003. She began her legal career as a litigator and is currently a Certified Circuit Civil and Family Mediator.
